ROSWELL, GA. The Roswell Police Department is working a case of Family Violence-Murder. The incident took place at 650 Streamside Drive, Roswell, Ga., at approximately 1:39p.m., on Saturday, April 18, 2009.

On Saturday, April 18, 2009, at approximately 1:39p.m. cops were dispatched to 650 Streamside Drive on a complaint of domestic trouble. While officers were en route the officers were notified by dispatch that a black male subject had driven a vehicle into the residence. Upon arrival officers saw a female lying on the sidewalk of the condominium next door located at 640 Streamside Drive.

The officers saw a black male subject, later identified as Calvin Bernard Myers, climb over a green Chrysler Sebring and run into the residence at 650. A check of the female, later identified as, Minka Rachell Grogan, was done, but the female showed no pulse. The units backed off and waited for more backup officers and for the SWAT Team. Another black male emerged from the residence with his hands in the air and stated that he was hiding in fear of his life from Calvin Myers. The black male who was identified as Kevin Smith, said that he was at the residence to cut the grass and became caught up in the incident.

Negotiations continued with Calvin Myers for approximately 2 to 2.5 hours until his sister finally talked him out. Calvin Myers was arrested without further incident.
