   The trendiest thing since paint your own pottery studios.  Bring your own beverage or food, relax and let a local artist guide you step by step as you paint your own 16x20 canvas to take home at the end of the evening.
   The classes are every Thursday and Saturday, and the cost is $30.

   Bard In The Yard at 8 p.m. at Barrington Hall, 535 Barrington Dr., Roswell.  Shakespeare on the lawn returns with performances of "All's Well that Ends Well," presented by North Fulton Drama Club.  Come early for picnic on the lawn before the performance.  Admission is free but donations are welcome.

   "Honk Jr" at the Off Broadway Children's Theatre, 12350-B Arnold Mill Rd., Alpharetta.
   The production is a musical adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson's classic story of "The Ugly Duckling."  The story features Ugly, a duckling who discovers his inner beauty when he becomes a swan, along with many other colorful barnyard creatures.
   Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.  Tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for children and senior citizens.

   The Georgia Ensemble Theatre presents "The Buddy Holly Story" at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St.
   The Man, The Music, The Legend. This musical extravaganza tells the story of Buddy Holly and the three years (1956-59) during which he became the world's top recording artist.  The show features over 20 hits including "Peggy Sue," "That'll Be the Day," "Oh Boy" and more.

May 2
   2nd Annual Raider Run for Autism sponsored by The Alpharetta High School Football Community.  All proceeds will benefit Autism Speaks.
   The Fun 5K Run/Walk will begin at 10 a.m. in the Alpharetta High School Football Stadium, 3595 Webb Bridge Rd.

May 2
   The "Lung Cancer Needs a Paddling" River Adventure sponsored by Dream Team 2009.  100% of the proceeds benefit the National Lung Cancer Partnership.
   The event will take place at 9:30 a.m.  Participants will be shuttled from Riverside Park in Roswell to Garrard Landing where, after a quick lesson, they will set off down the Chattahoochee River.  The party will break for a picnic lunch (included) on the shoals of the river and have the opportunity to wade through the water.  The adventurous can swing from a rope over the river.
   The cost including canoe or kayak is $75.  The cost is $50 for those who provide their own canoe/kayak.
